I have been given permission to share their story with you. I can't interpret, or tell their story, the way that they can. So below you will find quotes and posts from their care blog....
Day before arrival

"Katie has been diagnosed with severe preeclampsia, baby B is
growth restricted and has no amniotic fluid. These complications
have forced the decision for all three's health to go ahead and
deliver the twins at 26 weeks. They are scheduled to be delivered
by c-section the afternoon of 04/13 if all holds steady, or earlier
if needed. Katie has beeen given 2 steroid shots to help with the
twins lung development and we are just waiting 24 hours after the
last shot for delivery in order for the shot to have full effect.
It is going to be a long road, but we are taking it day by day.
Thanks everyone for all of the support.
Love the Halls"

"The girls are stable and doing as well as expected in the NICU.
They are resting in incubators with 100% humidity to protect their
skin. Both are doing well on ventilators and are receiving IV
fluids....Brynley has some more medical concerns than Sydney due to her
smaller size and having a more challenging situation in utero.
Sydney is in the 25th-50th percental for gestational age and
Brynlyn is below the 10th percental. We are just taking it day by
day and tackling things as they come up."4/15

"Sydney is still doing well and is stable. She is still under the
lamps and almost back up to her birthweight....Dr is talking about starting to give her tiny amounts
of breastmilk. Her lungs are doing well but she will probably get
another dose of surfactant today. Both girls received surfactant in
the OR at delivery and it is the substance that lines the lungs to
help them expand.Brynley is having a rougher go. She has lost 3oz which is a lot for a baby her size. She is struggling to get hydrated. Brynley was given a second dose of surfactant last night and was switched to an oscilating ventilator which is gentler on her lungs."
Our Angel

"Brynley Micayla Hall passed away last night. She developed a
sudden hemorrhage in the lungs that couldn't be stopped. It
happened quickly and she did not suffer. We were with her when she
went to heaven.
She is resting peacefully now and will be Sydney's guardian angel. She will always be remembered as our little fighter. She will be missed immensely. Please say a prayer for Brynley and our family."

7/10 Sydney is Finally Home!
Posted Jul 11, 2012 1:00am
"Sydney is finally home! She was discharged today after 89 days
in the NICU. She left weighing 5 lb 10 oz which is more than 3x her
birth weight."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sydney came to visit me at the studio on August 10, and she was such a sweet and perfect baby. Even though she was four months old, gestationally she was 42 weeks. This session was definitely a change for me, but I enjoyed her session immensely. Her big sister Lexi was great and helped take care of Sydney when she needed her paci or her blanket.
In the images below you will see a beautiful sterling silver heart which Sydney is holding close to her own heart. This necklace is filled with Brynley's ashes, and will forever be a reminder to Sydney that she has an angel close by. You will also see images with two yellow blankets. These special blankets were donated to the family when the babies were in the NICU. The one that Sydney is holding belonged to Brynley.

Wow! I cried ready the family's log of events. What a journey. You did such a beautiful job celebrating and memorializing their angel in Heaven. So touching!
